Minuteman Parking Company has history, with over 12 years of parking cars at hotels, hospitals, casinos, retail centers, commercial buildings, and for special events. We have positions available in Los Angeles, Orange County, Ventura County, Monterey, Palm Springs, Northern California, Washington State, Portland.

We have openings for Valet Parking Attendants, Overnight Valet Parking Attendants, Cashiers. The pay rate is dependent upon position and location. Valet Parking Attendants make $8.00/hr or $10.00/hr + tips.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Provide prompt, safe, efficient, courteous and friendly vehicle care and delivery to all valet customers of the facility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION

Vehicle Parking

Assessment and documentation of any vehicle damage prior to taking possession of any vehicle
Hand out parking tickets to guests/patients upon entry to the valet area
Safe operation of the vehicle in accordance with all applicable laws and ordinances
Parking of guest/patient vehicles in designated spaces within the designated structure, garage, or lot
Double checking of parking location recording stall number on valet ticket
For locations with Cashiers: Delivery of keys and ticket to the valet cashier and logging delivery onto the park log
Check that headlights are off, and that vehicle is locked

Vehicle Retrieval

Retrieval of guest vehicles to the valet service area in a safe and prompt manner, and in accordance with all Company policies

Customer Service - Make customer service, care and satisfaction the priority in every interaction by:

Greeting all guests/patients with a welcoming and farewell smile, and good eye contact
Being courteous and helpful to all guests/patients
Assisting with directions and other guest/patient needs as appropriate
Assisting with opening of vehicle/building doors as requested/required upon arrival and departure.
Assisting with luggage or wheelchairs as needed
Initiate and sustain conversations with guests/patients

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

Always follow the safe path of travel to parking areas
Follow the direction and instruction Account Manager, Assistant Manager, DA, or any member of Company management.
Maintain traffic control ensuring all traffic lanes are kept clear
Ensure that your actions protect the safety and well-being of all employees, guests, and patients
Report all incidents immediately to management or the DA in accordance with Company policies
Proactively seek hazardous areas and report them to management or the DA
Direct traffic for safety of employees and guests, and patients

CLAIMS REPORTING

Report all claims to management or DA

OTHER DUTIES

Sweeping and general area upkeep as directed by management
Wash car windows as directed

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to drive automatic and standard shift cars.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to provide current DMV Driving Record.
Must have a valid Drivers License
A positive attitude, with focus on a job well done.
Ability to follow directions as given by management.
Ability to work well in an often times fast paced, team driven environment.
Ability to communicate effectively with the members of your team, guests, and other members of management
