our growth. The two most common positions we seek to fill are Shuttle Bus
Operator and Shuttle Bus Dispatcher, both of which are described in detail below.
Shuttle Bus Operator
Bus Operator must be able to operate a variety of air-brake, shuttle-type vehicles
to transport passengers. Shuttle types include Hotel Airport Courtesy Shuttles,
Airport Facilities, Corporate Commuter, Municipal Public Transit, Hospital/Medical
Center, University, and Special Event shuttles.
Operator’s primary task is to provide service in a safe, courteous, and reliable
manner. The Bus Operator is responsible for written reports and other documentation
as required. SFO Shuttle Bus Company recruits candidates through union partnerships,

All Bus Operators for SFO Shuttle Bus Company undergo a rigorous and codified hiring
and evaluation process. Minimum driver skills and requirements include the following:
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- Three years professional passenger transportation experience
- Zero DMV license points; no history of major violations
- Successful completion of SFO Shuttle Bus Company Road Test
- Graduation from the SFO Shuttle Bus Company training programs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
All potential candidates must have the following permits and licenses:
- Commercial Drivers License: Class BP (Passenger Endorsement)
- Valid Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate
- SFO Shuttle Bus Company Certificate of Road Test
Shuttle Bus Dispatcher
The Bus Dispatcher is responsible for overseeing and managing all shuttle routes,
driver schedules, and other service-performance needs. The Dispatcher will assist
all drivers with passenger issues, provide accident assistance, and provide service-related
feedback to the Operations Manager and General Manager.
This position is critical in helping the company meet our on-time performance obligations
and ensure all passenger experiences are safe, pleasant and efficient.
All Bus Dispatchers for SFO Shuttle Bus Company undergo a rigorous and codified
hiring and evaluation process. Minimum driver skills and requirements include the
following:
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- Three years professional passenger transportation experience
- Zero DMV license points, no history of major violations
- Successful completion of SFO Shuttle Bus Company Road Test
- Graduation from the SFO Shuttle Bus Company training programs
- Familiarity with basic computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other computer
software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
